We went to see the backyardigans when they came to Winnipeg and as you can see Cade can't keep his eyes off of them. Danika loved it too.
Cade loves books and he loves when Dani reads to him.

Swimming Lessons - Week 1
Week 1 of swimming lessons wrapped up on Friday. The weather this week was ideal for pool activities.
Danika and her buddies are having a great time and gaining confidence in the water every day. As you can see in the pics she is floating on her own in a pfd!!
After swimming friday, Rita packed a lunch to have a picnic in the park. Kids had lots of fun. Had a former student take a family photo for us (thanks Maggie). 
Cade sure likes his grapes. Not sure why he's so protective of them. He's usually pretty good at the sharing/taking turns thing, but not when it comes to grapes. Check the video :)

Father's Day Fishing
Hey everyone, long time no blog!
The day began with rainy, stay-inside
and play type weather. Danika convinced Cade and I to play Barbie Dress-Up. Sorry no photos of that one and they certainly will not make it to the internet!
Anyway, Danika and I went out between the
showers and did a little fishing at the pond. 
Lots of action!! Too bad they are just
slimy little carp. Danika is too young to
know the differance. She asked if we were
going to keep some to eat but I pursuaded her
to have grilled cheese instead.
It didn't take her long and she was realing 'em in

by herself. She started just about jumping out of
her rubber boots when she felt a fish tug
on the line. Quite funny.
