Summer weather

Finally, A nice day to wash our bikes for the many trips we plan to take. Look at me, I'm riding my bike! Watch out everyone I am on the loose! You know your a red neck when it only takes 2 minutes to mow the lawn. Yeah! Dad put the swing set together. Now we'll never leave the back yard. After a busy day outside its time to share a sucker. Nothing's better than my big sister reading me a book.

Easter Sunday

Hi everyone! We hope your Easter Weekend was as full of family, friends, and choc. as ours was. Cade was a little confused at all the fuss, but Danika was right into it. It didn't take him long though and he was able to see there was value in the basket but was not sure why. Ah yes. The pose with the bunny ears. How cute. OK Mom, these things make me look stupid. Danika was able to brave the cold and check outside for more loot. After she found them all she thought it would be fun to hide them again and have another hunt! Practice makes perfect right. Cade needed to wear off some of the sugar by doing some house work. He can't stand a messy kitchen. (yeh right, as if mom would give him any chocolate)

Spring Break

Yesssss, our family tradition continues. The Royal Manitoba Winter Fair Day of spring break week. Our first encounter was the horse-mascot-person. Nice to start the day with a bang. The first place the kids wanted to go was, you guessed it, the baby animal farm. The bigger kids (Dani, Thomas, & Katie) really got into it. Picked up, petted, mauled, however you'd like to describe it every animal in sight. Jackson (on the right with Darren) & Cade were not as impressed.
It pecked me!! Get it out'a here!!
Cade was happy to people watch in the stroller. Bunnies, birds, lambs, nothing was that exciting according to Cade.
Jackson didn't mind getting his hands
dirty here. He's a tractor man through and
through.
Cade (and Daddy's) eyes lit up
when we saw the big beer wagon!
Didn't get a picture of the horses
but trust me they are livin' the Dream. Treated like royalty.
No son, those crates are not full of beer,
but it's OK to dream
Auntie Jenny took the girls to get their faces painted.
A look at the results.
Really cool area of remote controlled train, truck, and elevator. Thomas & Katie each took a turn driving.

Mom Away Makeover

Well, Mom is away for the weekend and yes, we are ok (so far). Saturday morning off to the house of Pilkington for a visit with "the locals" and the Curry Clan out of Morden. Didn't take the camera though, it was a little ways down the priority list for our little tour. Made sure I had the kids and all the necessities. I'd be the one to get Dani, the dog, and leave Cade in the high chair. So anyway if you want to see photos of that, I direct you to Ang's "The Dorm" website, I'd imagine she'll have visual evidence of that one soon, maybe already. After lunch, the "I miss Chelsi" chant started sooo we gave the Malach residence a call and set up a play date with Chelsi and her friend Brittany. With a video in had she headed out the door with girls who had dropped by to pick her up. (They live 2 houses down.) When she came back, she had been a victim of a make-over!! No curls, fancy nails, the deluxe treatment! At supper, Cade had quite a battle with the noodles. Surprisingly enough, some actually made it into his mouth. What a mess!. Note to self, maybe the bib hanging on the chair behind him would have been a good idea? Holiday Rita can clean that up when she gets back tomorrow. Just kidding ;) Tomorrow, another chapter in the story of Mr. Mom.

Gymnastics

Today was Dani's last day at gymnastics. As you can see she learned a lot from it (beginning with waiting your turn in line).
Stretching is important.
Don't let go!
Careful,
Careful,
Stick it!!
